Learning: Creating An Edible School Garden

25th Feb 15, Tanya

Incredible Edible educator Joanna Hutchison offers practical advice on how to work with schools to create a fun and educational edible garden.

Jo, who helped launch the BTEC in horticulture at the Incredible Aqua Garden, worked with the parents' group at her children's school to develop a new hands on, outdoor learning space.

Being able to see things, from an educationalist's and parent's point of view, enables Jo to give practical and down-to-earth advice about the best ways to engage a school and ensure a garden gets from idea stage to reality. Jo also offers tips on how to integrate the garden with the school curriculm and help it to have a long-lasting life with those involved.
